When necessary, tap
[Finger sensitivity]: Set the sensitivity required for the screen to respond to touch operations. If the
sensitivity is high or the screen is wet, select a lower setting. If you feel that the sensitivity is low,
select a higher setting.
[Stylus pen type]: Select the type of stylus pen (active type or passive type). When using both,
select [Active and Passive pen].
[Active pen pressure]: Set the pen pressure required for an active type stylus pen to respond.
[Glove thickness]: Set the screen sensitivity according to the glove thickness.
[Coordinates offset]: Set the amount of coordinate offset when operating with gloves. When set to
[Auto], the offset is automatically set according to the [Glove thickness] setting.
[Rain condition]: Set according to the amount of rain falling on the screen, i.e., how wet the screen
is.
When [Rain condition] is set to [Heavy], "tap and hold" operations are limited to 2 seconds.
Note
You can also turn touch operation modes on or off by tapping [Stylus pen] / [Glove touch] / [Rain
sensing touch] in the power options menu (see "Power options menu" (page 39)). In addition, you
can use the [UserButtonManager] app to assign these features to the unit's buttons (see
"[UserButtonManager] app" (page 40)).
Turn glove touch mode off when you are not wearing gloves.
Even if glove touch mode is enabled, the unit may not be able to be operated while wearing certain
types of gloves.
When rain sensing touch mode is enabled, the screen operates in single-finger touch mode (i.e.,
only one finger press is recognized at a time) and responds by being firmly pressed with a finger.
Even if rain sensing touch mode is enabled, the unit may not be able to be operated or may not
respond properly to touches when the entire screen is wet or depending on the amount of water on
the screen. Temporarily put the unit to sleep mode and wipe the water off of the screen.
Remaining battery level display of active type stylus pens (certain models only)
While an active type stylus pen is in use, its remaining battery level is detected and displayed with an icon
in the following colors.
Replace the battery when the icon is displayed in red.
Remaining battery level: high
Remaining battery level: medium
Remaining battery level: low
Note
To detect the remaining battery level, set [Stylus pen type] to [Active pen only] or [Active and
Passive pen].
The remaining battery level of active type stylus pens is detected when an active type stylus pen
touches or comes close to the screen. (It may take several seconds for detections to be made.) The
remaining battery level is not detected if there is no remaining power in the battery or if a battery is
not inserted.
® [Advanced], select the desired feature and configure it as desired.
