The drying cycle duration is very long
Problem
The drying process
goes on too long or
even switches off.*
* Switch the tumble dryer off; wait a short while before starting a new programme.
Cause and remedy
In some circumstances, you may be asked to clean
the air channels/filters.
Check for all of the possible causes described be-
low.
Detergent residues, hair and fine fluff can clog the fil-
ters.
Clean the fluff filter (see "Cleaning and care").
Clean the air supply area.
You can remove the cover in the loading area to
clean the air supply area underneath.
The ducting or its openings are clogged with hair or
fluff, for example.
Check and clean all components in the ducting
(e.g. wall pipe, external grille, bends, elbows, etc.).
The air supply situation is not adequate in small, un-
ventilated rooms.
While drying, open the door or window for ventila-
tion.
The laundry is too damp.
Spin using a higher spin speed in the washing ma-
chine.
The drum is too full.
Do not exceed the maximum load for the pro-
gramme selected.
Metallic components, e.g. zippers, have prevented
the tumble dryer from registering the correct moisture
level.
Open any zips next time.
If the problem recurs, dry these items using the
Timed drying warm air programme.
