Back up and restore
information
To back up information from
phone memory to the memory
card, select Options >
phone mem.
To restore information from the
memory card to the phone
memory, select Options >
from
card.
You can only back up the phone
memory and restore it to the same
phone.

Lock the memory card

To set a password to lock your
memory card to help prevent
unauthorized use, select
Options >
Set
password.
You are asked to enter and confirm
your password. The password can
be up to eight characters long.
The password is stored in your
phone and you do not have to
enter it again while you are using
the memory card on the same
phone. If you want to use the

memory card on another phone,
you are asked for the password.
Unlock a memory card
If you insert another password-
protected memory card into your
phone, you are prompted to enter
the password of the card. To
unlock the card, select Options >
Unlock memory
Once the password is removed, the
Backup
memory card is unlocked and can
be used on another phone without
a password.
Check memory
Restore
consumption
To check the memory consumption
of different data groups and the
available memory for installing
new applications or software on
your memory card, select
Options >

■ Dictionary

In Dictionary, you can look up a
Chinese word for English
translation, and look up an English
word for Chinese translation.
1. In the standby mode, select
Menu > Dictionary.
2. Switch to the desired input
mode if necessary.
