Setup Mode

Inside the setup mode are several useful features you can use, activate, or deactivate on the GoPro.
These work separately to the other modes but also function alongside them.
Enabling the Wi-Fi option allows the GoPro to link to the GoPro app, that will be mentioned more
later in this guide, or a Wi-Fi remote control for the GoPro.
You may find due to your setup the GoPro needs to film upside down or vertically, the
orientation property can change the cameras filming orientation to up, down, or automatic.
(Sometimes seen as DFLT) Default mode will determine which mode the camera defaults to
upon turning on, this includes all the mode options too.
Quick capture enables you to record automatically by pressing the shutter/select button
when the GoPro is off. Pressing the shutter/select button will turn on the GoPro and start
recording.
Activate or deactivate the LED lights on the front and back while recording.
Change the volume of the button sound on the GoPro.
Video format options. This can be PAL or NTSC. We advise setting this to PAL which is the
European standard.
Turn on/off on-screen-display. We highly advise against this. This turns off the display on the
GoPro and requires the app to reset.
Auto Off is used as a power saving option for the GoPro. It has designated minutes,
minimum of 1 and maximum of 'never'. If idol it will turn off after this length of time.
Calendar mode allows you to set the date and time, this will then show up in the file
organisation when connecting to the computer.
Delete is used to format the card, and delete all clips filmed, or the last shot or video filmed.
Camera Reset (sometimes seen as Reset Cam) can be used to reset the Wi-Fi preferences or
reset the camera to its default factory settings. Resetting the Wi-Fi preferences clears the
camera username and password for the GoPro App, if ever you forget these. If you do reset
the GoPro please let us know you did this upon returning.
Language can also be changed here. Please revert the GoPro back to English before returning.
