Installation on Box-rail
The Box Rail can be used in two or three ways. Before shipment, the I-beam width has been set
as shown in the following table. Change the spacer position as shown in Fig. 1-1 through Fig.
1-2 depending on the I-beam to be used.

The clearance between the flange inner side if the wheel is equipped with a flange and the Box-rail
is approximately 5.6 mm . Check the clearance before installation (see the following figure). To
adjust this clearance, change the washer (1.6 mm) positions to the inside or the outside of the
traversing side plate. The Box-rail width includes a tolerance. In addition, when a new hoist is
installed on the existing Box-rail, the Box-rail may be worn out. For these reasons, be sure to
adjust the clearance using the actual hoist installed on the Box-rail. Check the clearance for the
entire rail. If the traversing rail is curved, widen the clearance at the curved area (as shown in
the following figure).
Fit the same number of spacers and washers on both sides of the frame. Consider the balance
when fitting the spacers and washers.
The hoist could be installed most easily from one end of the Box-rail. However, in most cases,
the Box-rail ends are not open. So pull out the split pin (see Fig. 1) and loosen the nut to open
the traversing side plates to the respective sides. The side plates are tightened with slotted nuts.
When aligning the pin hole with the slot of the slotted nut, be sure to tighten the nut (do not loosen
the nut).
