CODE POSSIBLE CAUSE
1 Clogged or dirty air intake filter.
2 Extremely high duty cycles.
3 Air leaks in air drain/discharge piping.
4 Compressor check valve is loose or broken.
5 Cylinder or piston scratched, worn or scored.
6 Worn connecting rod or bearing.
7 Extremely dusty atmosphere.
8 Ambient temperature too low.
9 Power cord not plugged in.
10 Pressure switch is in OFF position.
11 Motor reset switch has tripped.
12 Fuse blown or circuit has tripped.
13 Wrong gauge wire or length of extension cord.
14 Tank air pressure exceeds pressure switch
"cut-in" setting.
15. Pressure relief valve on pressure switch has
not unloaded pump head pressure.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Clean or replace air intake filter.
Run unit for lighter duty cycles.
Check tubing and connections.
Inspect valve. Clean or replace as required.
Repair or replace as required.
Inspect. Repair or replace as required.
Relocate the compressor.
Relocate compressor to warmer environment.
Plug cord into grounded outlet.
Move the pressure switch to ON position.
Turn the compressor off, wait until motor is cool, then press
Motor reset switch (located on motor) firmly until a click is heard.
Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker. Check for proper fuse. Use
only "Fusetron" type T fuses. Check for low voltage conditions.
Disconnect any other electrical appliances from circuit or operate
the compressor on its own branch circuit.
If possible, eliminate extension cord. Check the chart on page 3
for proper gauge wire and cord length.
Set pressure switch in the AUTO position. The motor will
automatically start when air tank pressure drops below "cut-in"
pressure.
Drain tanks. If problem persists, contact D
service at 1-800-4-D WALT.
