The scale calculates the body composition for individuals aged 10 to 80 measuring between 100
and 220 cm tall.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
- Always weigh yourself on the same scale at the same time, preferably when you wake up and while naked.
- It is important to weigh yourself with dry, bare feet positioned correctly on the electrodes (see figure). Also
avoid contact between the legs so the scale operates correctly.
- Wait about 15 minutes after rising so water can distribute itself through your body.
- Scale precision could vary in the following cases:
a) high level of alcohol
b) high level of caffeine or drugs
c) after heavy meals
d) after rigorous sports activities
e) during illness

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

FIRST USE
• This scale works with three disposable 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries.
• To insert the batteries, open the battery compartment by pulling up the tab on the cover.
• Insert the batteries according to the pole markings. Close the cover.
UNIT SELECTION
To change the unit of measure, press the button located on the underside of the scale.
USE
a. Measuring weight only
1) Place the scale on a flat, sturdy surface. An uneven or disjointed floor (e.g., rug, carpet, linoleum) may
compromise the accuracy of the reading.
2) With the scale off, step on with parallel feet and your weight equally distributed (see images). Do not move
until the scale has measured your weight. Do not lean on anything while the scale measures your weight
in order to avoid altering the readings.
3)
Step off the scale. The display will continue to show the reading for a few seconds before automatically
turning off.
4)
When in weight only mode, the unit will not measure body fat %, water %, muscle %, etc. You must press
the SET button to enter and select a user to obtain the readings.
f) when pregnant
g) when dehydrated
h) with wet or unclean feet
i) swollen legs
b. Entering personal data for calculating body composition
This scale can memorize data for 10 different people.
1) With the scale off, press the "SET" button. When the display shows "0.0 kg" / "0.0 lb", press the "SET"
button again. The display will show the number 1 under the word "USER" which indicates person "01". If
you wish to change user memory (from 0 to 9), press the " " or " " buttons. Once you have chosen the
user memory selection, confirm by pressing "SET".
2) Press the " " or " " buttons to enter the age (from 10 to 80), gender (the display will show the outline of
a man or woman) and height (from 100 to 220 cm) and confirm each entry by pressing "SET".
3) The scale will show the data entered and then "0.0 kg" ("0.0 lb")
• To change the data you entered, recall the user memory selection and repeat the entire procedure.
• To enter data for another person, choose a free user memory option and repeat the entire procedure given above.
• During personal data entry operations, the scale will shut off automatically if no button is pressed within 30
seconds.
c. Body composition calculation
1) Select the user memory option desired pressing the "SET" button with the scale off. The display will show the last
user memory entered. To change the user memory (user from 0 to 9), press the " " or " ": the scale
shows the data for the user memory selected and then "0.0 kg" ("0.0 lb").
2) Step on the scale, making sure your bare feet are correctly positioned above the two electrodes. The scale
shows the following in succession:
- weight
- body fat percentage ( )
- water percentage ( )
- muscle percentage ( )
- basal metabolism ( )
3) The scale will shut off automatically after the second time the data above has been displayed.
Compare the body fat percentage ( ) with the parameters given in the "body fat table". If it is outside normal
values, consult your family physician. Evaluate the water percentage ( ), as indicated in the "water %"
paragraph, as well as muscle percentage ( ) as indicated in the "muscle %" paragraph.
Each time the scale is moved and then returned to its resting surface, the first weight must not
be considered due to reorganization of the electronic board with the loading cells. Consider the
second and successive weights, as in certain cases the first one could be altered for the reason
mentioned above.
REPLACING BATTERIES
When the "LO" or battery symbol appears on the display, replace the four batteries with a similar type.
1. Open the battery compartment by pulling up the tab on the cover.
2. Remove the worn batteries and dispose of them according to the instructions in the paragraph "Disposal
Procedure".
3. Insert the new batteries according to the pole markings.
4. Close the battery compartment.
