INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

FIRST USE
• This scale works with three disposable 1.5V AAA zinc-carbon batteries.
• To insert the batteries, open the battery compartment by pulling up the tab on the cover.
• Insert the batteries according to the pole markings. Close the cover.
UNIT SELECTION
To change the unit of measure, press the button located on the underside of the scale.
USE
a. Measuring weight only
1)
Place the scale on a flat, sturdy surface.
An uneven or disjointed floor (e.g., rug, carpet, linoleum) may compromise the accuracy of the reading.
2)
Enable the scale, by pressing the middle of the platform. 2) Wait for few seconds and when the display shows
"0.0", the scale is ready for weighing.
3)
Step on with parallel feet and your weight equally distributed (see images).
Do not move until the scale has measured your weight. Do not lean on anything while the scale measures your
weight in order to avoid altering the readings.
4)
Step off the scale. The display will continue to show the reading for a few seconds before automatically turning off.
FITNESS
In order to determine your datas in the most correct way, this scale will take into consideration not only your
weight, height, age and sex, but it will also take into account your life-style and the level of the physical activity
that you practice. For this reason, when you input your personal data you should choose among the 5 different
FITNESS LEVELS.
Level 1:
this category includes all sedentary people who in the last months have not carried out any physical activity.
Level 2:
this category includes all people who in the last months have practiced it at moderate level, less than twice
a week for less than 15 minutes during each session.
Level 3:
This category includes all people who regularly practice physical activities (from 4 to 5 times per week, at
to 80 measuring between
least 20 minutes during each session).
Level 4:
This category includes very active people who regularly practice physical activities (from 6 to 7 times per
week).
Level 5:
This category includes people (athletes, sportsmen) who carry out an intense daily physical activity and that
have developed flexibility, resistance and strength in time.
AUTOMATIC USER IDENTIFICATION
This scale has an automatic user identification memory. In order for this function to work, user must enter their
personal data in a user memory number (P1, P2, etc.) at least once. The scale will then automatically recognize
the user's weight if it is within 6.6 lbs/3kg and display the data for that user memory number.
NOTE: There is no need to reprogram any personal information or manually select a user memory
number unless you have lost or gained 6.6 lbs/3kgs.
In this case, when the scale shows your weight, it automatically displays the calculation of your body
composition (see paragraphs "Entering personal data for calculating body composition" and "Body composition
calculation").
If the user's weight matches two different user memory data, within 6.6 lbs/3kg, the display will show both user
memory number, for example P1P2 or P1P4. At this point, step off the scale and press the keys " ▲ "or " ▼ "
to select your user memory number (fig. 3). Wait the screen show "0.0" and step back on the platform.
b. Entering personal data for calculating body composition
This scale can memorize data for 10 different people.
1) With the scale off, press the "SET" button. The display will show the memory zone "P-1" / "P-2", etc.
indicating person "01", "02", etc. To change the memory zone (from 1 to 10), press the "▲"or "▼"
buttons and confirm by pressing "SET".
