Good afternoon, We received the leapfrog tea set as a birthday gift less than a week ago and yesterday the teapot stopped working. We replaced the batteries and tested the batteries, but they still have full charge. I smacked the bottom of the teapot and it started working again briefly, so I’m wondering if there is a loose wire somewhere. I’m not able to return the set to the store as it was a gift and I don’t have a receipt. Is there anything we can do to fix this?

Ensure the batteries are installed correctly, following the polarity (+/-) diagram in the battery compartment. Use only the recommended battery type and do not mix old and new batteries. Remove and reinsert the batteries to check for a proper connection. If the toy still does not work, press the Heart Button to turn it on again. If the issue persists, the unit may be affected by radio-frequency interference; move it away from electronic devices and try again.
