Why after the a new tape cassette has been installed it will not print. The printer just flashes and does not move the tape through the machine. Have move the tape manually just in case it may be stuck but it will not advance.

The Brother PT-100 may not print or advance tape after installing a new cassette due to the following reasons:

1. The machine does not recognize the tape cassette. This can trigger a "No Cassette!" message. To fix this, turn off the machine, open the tape compartment, and properly reinstall the cassette.

2. The ink ribbon may be caught in the tape layers. This can happen if the ribbon was loose during installation or if the label was pulled by hand without cutting. In this case, the tape cassette is damaged and must be replaced.

Make sure to install the tape cassette correctly and avoid pulling the label by hand.

Brother does not typically sell internal plastic parts for the P-touch PT-100 label maker as individual replacement items. These parts are generally not considered user-replaceable. If an internal plastic component is damaged, the usual recommendation is to replace the entire unit. You may try contacting Brother customer support to confirm part availability or check with third-party repair services, but availability is not guaranteed.
