Use the chart below to verify that all parts have been shipped.
Description
Upper belt cover
Lower belt cover
Bolt (1/4 x 1.33 inches)
Engine-mount bolt (3/8 x 1 inch)
WARNING
The blade is sharp; contacting the blade can
result in serious personal injury.
Wear gloves when servicing the blade.
Preparing the Machine
1. Shut off the engine and wait for all moving parts
to stop.
2. Disconnect the spark-plug wire from the spark
plug and remove the electric-start button (if
present).
3. Tip the machine onto its side with the air filter up.
4. Use a block of wood to hold the blade steady
(Figure
1).
5. Remove the blade, saving all mounting hardware
(Figure
1).

    Installing the Kit 3. Install the blade drive and route the belt around it as shown in Figure 1. Install the 2 engine-mount bolts (3/8 x 1 inch) and torque them to 46 N∙m (34 ft-lb); refer to Figure g207687 Figure 7 1.
