Operation sequence
Operation sequence
The operation sequence that follows
describes the control using the hand-held
control pendant. Operation over a
communication channel is the same except
for manual cable connection steps.
1.
Connect the hand-held control pendant
cable plug to the receptacle for the
appropriate controller compartment.
With the isolating switch in the OPEN/
DISCONNECT position, the green LED
will illuminate. Before proceeding to
switch to the CLOSE/CONNECT position,
verify the following:
•
High-voltage compartment door is
closed and latched.
•
Contactor is in the OPEN position.
•
Lever for manual operation has been
dismounted.

Press the pushbutton for the CLOSE/
CONNECT position. Please note it is not
necessary to hold the button down.
When the isolating switch begins to
move, the green LED (for OPEN/
DISCONNECT position) will turn off and
the red LED (for CLOSE/CONNECT
position) will start to blink until the
isolating switch reaches the CLOSE/
CONNECT position.

Once the isolating switch reaches the
CLOSE/CONNECT position, the red LED
(for CLOSE/CONNECT position) will
illuminate.
4.
With the isolating switch in CLOSE/
CONNECT position, it is possible to
close and open the contactor.
5.
To proceed to move the isolating
switch to OPEN/DISCONNECT position,
verify that the contactor is OPEN and
the manual lever is dismounted.

6.
Press the pushbutton for the OPEN/
DISCONNECT position. Please note it is
not necessary to hold the button
down. When the isolating switch
begins to move, the red LED (for
CLOSE/CONNECT position) will turn off
and the green LED (for OPEN/
DISCONNECT position) will start to
blink until the isolating switch reaches
the OPEN/DISCONNECT position.
7.
Once the isolating switch reaches the
OPEN/DISCONNECT position, the green
LED (for OPEN/DISCONNECT position)
will illuminate.
8.
With the isolating switch in the OPEN/
DISCONNECT position, it is possible to
open or close the contactor, or if
needed, open the high-voltage
compartment door.
