OPERATION Remote Control If the remote control only operates when you get closer to the device, it means that the batteries have been used up. Please replace the two batteries simultaneously with two new batteries (Size AAA, R03, 1.5V). Please note the +, - polarity.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS Audio Connection of the DVD-Player over the Optical Output: Please connect the digital optical output with the corresponding input on the amplifier by means of an optical cable. Please note that this connection is only possible if your amplifier contains a DTS/Dolby Digital Decoder. In this case the digital output has to be set to SPDIF RAW.

SETUP MENU Password To set the password, please highlight “Password” in the general setup menu. Please press the direction button to highlight the menu point “Change”. Press “ENTER” to open the password change page. Enter now the last stored password using the number keys on your remote control. SETUP MENU Contrast In this menu you can adjust the contrast of the picture. Highlight “Contrast” in the video setup menu. Please press the direction button to enter the menu. Move the bar by pressing the buttons to set the brightness. The setting range is from -20 to +20. Please press the button on your remote control to leave this menu point.
PLAYING FUNCTIONS Selecting a section of the disc to play If you do not want to play the entire disc, you can select a section to play using one of the following options: 1. Selecting a chapter using the DVD menu Some DVDs are provided with a menu that, among other options, allows you to select a specific chapter to play.

SPECIAL FEATURES FOR MP3, JPEG AND MPEG FILES Playing of MP3s, JPEG and MPEG files When inserting an Audio disc with MP3s, JPEG or MPEG files (or mixed), a menu will automatically be displayed on the screen. Select the folder that you want to play by pressing the direction keys and press the button “ENTER”.
CREATING A PLAYLIST The Playlist facility is available to record a list of tracks, titles and chapters in the order that you want to play them. A playlist can be created by pressing the button “PROG” on your remote control and is available for DVDs, VCDs, CDs MP3s and Photo CDs with JPEG files.

TECHNICAL TERMS GLOSSARY DESCRIPTION AC-3 Digital coding of one to six channels (5 plus 1) in a bitstream. Compare Dolby Digital. "Binary Digit”. A bit is the smallest information unit in the EDV as well as in digital transmission systems. Bit is the indication for the height of the resolution in the uncompressed PCM size. Cinch-Audio Over the Cinch sockets, the Dolby-Digital or MPEG sound will be released from the DVD as analogue two-channel signal - independent from the channel number on the DVD.

TECHNICAL TERMS GLOSSARY DESCRIPTION Picture Sizes For the picture, we indicate the playback size on the TV or projector (e.g. 4:3 and 16:9) as well as the original (movie) size in which the film was shot (e.g. 1.85:1). TV movies are shot in the usual TV size 4:3 (1.33:1), movie productions mostly in different wide-screen sizes.
