SECTION 1 - INTRODUCTION Purpose This manual provides start-up instructions for FlexPay™ IV CRIND®. The FlexPay IV CRIND provides an outdoor terminal platform that is EMV®-certified and Payment Card Industry PIN Entry Device (PCI-PED) certified. For units with the Omnia board, use MDE-5369 FlexPay IV (with Omnia) Programming and Service Manual for start-up instructions.

Ensure that the printer paper is loaded into the CRIND Universal Serial Bus (USB) printer. Once the Gilbarco Veeder-Root® white screen is displayed, press 1 to enter setup (displayed in left bottom portion of CRIND screen). After the blue System Online screen, when CRIND BIOS is running, swipe the Gilbarco Diagnostic Card to enter CRIND programming.

SECTION 3 - FLEXPAY IV START-UP On the Maintenance Menu screen, the “Please enter password” message is displayed. Enter the last six digits of the Product Part Number (PPN), for example, 028178 (printed on the UPM label). Notes: 1) The PPN is displayed for about 10 seconds during the boot up process. 2) Main menu timeout is 10 minutes of inactivity.
SECTION 3 - FLEXPAY IV START-UP Configuring CRIND (Side A) Note: Side A is where the calibration switch is located. IMPORTANT INFORMATION (For kits only) - Ensure that the side B card reader and UPM Ethernet cable are disconnected before configuring the CRIND. Factory-built dispensers have a default IP set and do not require disconnecting the side B card reader and UPM cables.

Call Gilbarco Support Center at 1-800-800-7498 (or use the Gilbarco Online Activation Tool) and obtain a verification code. Provide Gilbarco with a challenge number and the check digit after verifying that the check digit matches with the one on the screen. Provide the eight-digit PPN. Gilbarco will provide a verification code.
