3.9 Safe operation on slopes

To achieve the best mowing results and operating
safety even when parts of the working area are slop-
ing, the mower adjusts its operation automatically
depending on factors such as the slope angle and di-
rection of travel.
The working area's incline can be expressed in various
ways. Table 2: Slope conditions sets out the relation-
ship between the different ways of expressing slopes
as a percentage, height-length-ratio and in degrees.
The specified slope on which the robotic
lawnmower can work is 45%. Accessibility on
steeper slopes than this cannot be guaranteed.
If the robotic lawnmower is traveling forwards
and the incline is more than 67% the mower
stops. It will then reverse and turn in one
movement to try to find a less steep slope. If
after 2 attempts the mower cannot find a less
steep slope, it stops and the display indicates
that the stop is caused by a steep incline.
The above values are approximate and require for in-
stance that the tilt sensor is correctly calibrated.
Slopes that exceed the specified 45% slope can nor-
mally only be reached in very favorable conditions. Do
not expect the mower to operate regularly in a working
area with such steep inclines.

3.10 New loop signal

The PIN code in the robotic lawnmower is simply an
anti-theft function to prevent unauthorized people from
using the mower. It does not affect the loop signal in
any way, which the PIN code in Husqvarna G2 models
does.
In rare cases, there may be a reason to change the
loop signal, for example, if 2 nearby installations have
the same loop signal, thereby interfering with each
other. An option exists to generate a randomly select-
ed new loop signal via the Security - New loop signal
menu.
This also needs to be carried out every time the ro-
botic lawnmower is placed in another charging sta-
tion. Bear in mind that a new loop signal also has to
be generated when the mower returns to its ordinary
charging station, for example after service if another
charging station other than the customer's has been
used. Refer to 3.6 One robotic lawnmower for several
working areas on page 41.
