Standard tow truck
If a flat-bed tow truck is not available:
Use a standard tow truck using a
towing dolly to prevent the front or
rear wheels from contacting
the road.
Caution
If the vehicle is towed with the
front or rear wheels contacting the
road, the vehicle's drive system
could be severely damaged.
Towing another vehicle
In an emergency, another vehicle
may be towed using the rear
towing eye.

Emergency towing procedure
1. Locate the rear towing eye
attachment in the compartment
under the rear load area floor
cover.
2. Open the cover plate on the
bumper bar by pressing the
base of the cover and pulling it
downwards.
3. Screw the towing eye clockwise,
firmly into place, using the
handle of the wheel wrench. See
Vehicle tools on page 219.
Note
Apply force in a straight direction.
Do not apply force from any side
direction.
