– Disconnect connector from temperature flap control motor -
V68- -1-.
– Remove bolts -arrows- (1.5 Nm).
– Release control motor lever from connecting rod.
– Remove temperature flap control motor - V68- . Pull heat ex‐
changer -2- cover forwards slightly when doing this.

Risk of malfunction of heater or air conditioning system caused

by improperly installed control motors or links.
Mark the correct allocation of the connectors to the control

motors.
Always install the appropriate links to the control motors.

Initiate "Basic setting" function using vehicle diagnostic tester .

The colour-marked links which were factory-fitted and provi‐

ded as replacement parts earlier have been discontinued
gradually as of week 45/2013. In addition, the links are not any
longer pre-installed on the control motors provided as replace‐
ment parts.
There are various available versions of control motors and the

corresponding links. In some cases there are very slight dif‐
ferences which may not be obvious at first glance. However,
if the wrong version of a control motor or link is installed, prob‐
lems may occur not before the basic setting is performed.
