Water running cold from shower

1 comments:

The Triton Madrid II shower may be running cold due to one or more of the following reasons:

1. Solenoid valve failure: If the solenoid valve is faulty, water will not flow properly through the heating element. A faulty solenoid may still have power but not operate. It should show a resistance of at least 3.5 ohms across its terminals.

2. Low water pressure: If the water pressure falls below the minimum level, the heating elements will automatically cut out, causing the shower to run cold.

3. Blocked showerhead sprayplate: A blocked sprayplate can cause the water to overheat and trigger a safety cut-out, leaving only cold water.

4. Incorrect power selector setting: Ensure the power selector is not set to the "cold" position, which supplies unheated water.

5. Air trapped in the unit: If air is trapped, it can prevent proper heating. Flushing the unit by rotating the temperature control from minimum to maximum can release trapped air.
