Troubleshooting

If any problems arise while using the device or the software, try the following
solutions. If the problem cannot be solved, send the log file to the ApneaLink Air
support team or contact your equipment supplier or ResMed. Do not attempt to
open the device.
To send the log file, from the Tools menu select Send event log by email .

Device

Problem/Possible cause
The power button light doesn't turn on when the power button is pressed.
The batteries are depleted.
The device is faulty.
Oximeter LED is blinking red.
The oximeter is not connected.
The oximeter is connected to the
device, but the finger sensor is not
connected to the oximeter.
The oximeter and finger sensor are
connected, but there is no valid sensor
signal for more than four seconds.
Flow LED is blinking red.
The nasal cannula is not correctly
attached to the device.
Effort LED is blinking red.
The effort sensor is not correctly
attached to the device.
All LEDs are blinking red during a recording.
The device is defective.
Action
Replace the batteries by opening the
battery cover and inserting two
new batteries.
If the light does not turn on after
replacing the batteries, return the
device for servicing.
Connect the oximeter to the finger
sensor.
Connect the finger sensor and
oximeter.
Check that the sensor is correctly
placed on the finger and check the
oximeter connection.
Fit the nasal cannula as described in
this manual.
Apply effort sensor as described in this
manual.
Return the device for servicing.
