    HPAC 2.0 is the responsibility of the owner. GROUNDING The HPAC 2.0 must be grounded from the breaker or fuse until the power supply cord. Be sure that the three-branch circuit or general purpose outlet is grounded.

    P OWE R SU PPLY CORD The HPAC 2.0 is shipped from the factory with a Leakage Current Detection Interrupter (LCDI) equipped power supply cord. The LCDI device meets the UL and US National Electric Code 440.65 requirements for power supply cord connected air conditioners.

  • Page 13 WARNING ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD When the HPAC 2.0 is in the OFF position, there is still voltage to the electrical controls. Disconnect the power to the unit before servicing to avoid electric shock or damage to the HPAC 2.0 by removing the power supply cord from the wall power outlet or by disconnecting the circuit breaker or fuses.

    Power the HPAC 2.0 on or off (standby) by pressing the Power button. The control system of the HPAC 2.0 is equipped with a memory, so settings will not be lost if the HPAC 2.0 is turned off or there is a loss of power.

    Use the up and down arrows to set the desired temperature between 61°F and 87°F. ATTENTION At startup, it can take up to three minutes for the HPAC 2.0 to start supplying warm air. The HPAC 2.0 will periodically defrost the evaporator coil, if necessary. During the defrosting phase, the HPAC 2.0 does not supply warm air.

    Low, Medium, High, Turbo Power and Automatic. The higher the speed is set, the better the HPAC 2.0 will perform. The higher the speed of the fan, the noisier the air conditioner will be.

    TO PROGRAM HPAC 2.0 TO TURN ON When the HPAC 2.0 is off, press the Timer button and then use the up and down arrows to select in how many hours you want the HPAC 2.0 to turn on. After selecting the number of hours, press the Timer button again.

    DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS The Display Brightness sensor is factory-set to automatically adjust to the light of the room. When the room is dark the display automatically dims. This automatic brightness adjustment can be disabled, if desired.. To disable, press and hold the Sleep button for 10 seconds. “Ds” (disabled) will appear on the display. To re-enable, press and hold the sleep button for 10 seconds.

    C ARE A ND CLE ANING The HPAC 2.0 has been designed to keep maintenance operations to a minimum. Keeping the HPAC 2.0 clean and well maintained will give you many years of trouble-free service. TURN OFF POWER AND WAIT To avoid injury or death from heated/moving parts or electrical shock, follow these steps before cleaning or maintaining the HPAC 2.0:...
  • Page 26: Cleaning The Filters

    To maintain optimal performance, clean the filter at least once a month. Clogged and dusty filters reduce the cooling and heating capability, restrict airflow and can lead to extensive damage to the HPAC 2.0. Keeping the filters clean saves energy and will reduce the risk of component failure.

During heating, the unit does not drain the condensate directly into the drain pipe, but rather it collects into a lightly heated collection pan (to eliminate icing up of the liquid) where a solenoid valve controls the flow of the condensate from the internal collection tray to the drain pipe once the maximum level has been reached.

    A DD ING MU LTIPLE DEVICES The Ephoca app allows you to remotely manage and control the HPAC 2.0 using a smartphone and/or tablet, and/ or a desktop computer. After configuration with the first device, the HPAC 2.0 can be controlled with another device following the procedure described below.
