    HPAC 2.0 is the responsibility of the owner. GROUNDING The HPAC 2.0 must be grounded from the breaker or fuse until the power supply cord. Be sure that the three-branch circuit or general purpose outlet is grounded.

    Press TEST (listen for the click; Reset button trips and pops out). This should cut STEP 2 the power to the HPAC 2.0. If the plug does not trip and the unit stays on, please contact technical support. Press RESET (listen for the click; Reset button latches and remains in).   • Page 13 WARNING ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD When the HPAC 2.0 is in the OFF position, there is still voltage to the electrical controls. Disconnect the power to the unit before servicing to avoid electric shock or damage to the HPAC 2.0 by removing the power supply cord from the wall power outlet or by disconnecting the circuit breaker or fuses.

    Power the HPAC 2.0 on or off (standby) by pressing the Power button. The control system of the HPAC 2.0 is equipped with a memory, so settings will not be lost if the HPAC 2.0 is turned off or there is a loss of power.

    To activate heating mode, press the heating button Use the up and down arrows to set the desired temperature between 61°F and 87°F. At startup, it can take up to three minutes for the HPAC 2.0 to ATTENTION start supplying warm air.

    AIR FLOW CONTROL You can control the air flow by adjusting the air louver to a specific position or for continuous oscillation. To set a specific position, tap the air flow button and keep tapping until the louver is in the desired position. To set for continuous oscillation, press the air flow button once, the symbol will stay illuminated and the louver will oscillate.

  • Page 29 COOLING MODE In this cooling mode, the HPAC 2.0 cools and dehumidifies the room. The fan will consistently operate. To activate cooling mode press the mode button until you see the blue snowflake Symbol on the display. Use the up and down arrows to set the desired temperature between 61°F and 87°F.
  • Page 30 FAN SPEED Pressing the appropriate fan speed buttons will change the speed of the fan in cooling and heating modes. You can choose three fan speeds or automatic. In Automatic Mode - shown by a lit-up “A” the onboard microprocessor automatically adjusts the fan speed as needed.

  • Page 32 TEMPERATURE LIMITING (HOTEL MODE) This mode restricts the temperature setting to 71.5°F to 82.5°F in cooling mode and 61°F to 75°F in heating mode.     CA R E A N D C LE A N I N G The HPAC 2.0 has been designed to keep maintenance operations to a minimum. Keeping the HPAC 2.0 clean and well maintained will give you many years of trouble-free service.
  • Page 38: Cleaning The Filters

    To maintain optimal performance, clean the filter at least once a month. Clogged and dusty filters reduce the cooling and heating capability, restrict airflow and can lead to extensive damage to the HPAC 2.0. Keeping the filters clean saves energy and will reduce the risk of component failure.

    C LE A N I N G TH E CO I L S The HPAC 2.0’s indoor and outdoor coils and base pan should be inspected periodically (annually or semi- annually) and as necessary. Under extreme conditions, more frequent and/or professional cleaning may be required.
  • Page 41 ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD It is extremely important to ensure that none of the electrical and/ or electronic parts of the HPAC 2.0 get wet. Be sure to cover all electrical components to protect them from water or spray. It may cause electric shock and damage the HPAC 2.0.
