5 Operation
– Select the function group SETUP.
– Select the function DGS MODE and press one of the
selector keys to turn on the DGS evaluation. The
DGS curve is calculated and displayed in the A-scan.

Taking the general DGS diagram as a basis, the USM
36 calculates the required test sensitivity for displaying
the 3mm curve with its maximum at 80 % screen height,
and makes this setting. The current gain is set to 0
during this.
The curve is automatically adjusted in the case of sub-
sequent gain variations.
