CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS General care • Avoid exposing to direct heat and sunlight which can cause cracking and color changes (some woods can darken and some can fade). • Color changes may also occur when objects are left for extended periods on the same spot on the furniture. • Maintain consistent humidity of 45 – 55% in your home to prevent excessive expansion and contraction of parts and joints. • Wipe up spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. • Do not place hot or humid objects directly on the furniture, which may stain or damage it. • Use trivets for hot pans or dishes to prevent damage to finish and underlying wood. • Use coasters for drinks to prevent moisture from contacting surface. • Keep rough and sharp objects away from wood surfaces. • Apply protective pads to undersides of items being displayed on wood surfaces. • Avoid prolonged contact of rubber feet or bumpers on displayed items, which can react with and damage wood finish. Cleaning • Dust frequently with a damp cloth, then wipe dry. • Clean as necessary with a cloth moistened with a solution of mild soap and water. Wipe dry immediately. • Never pour soap or water directly onto the furniture surface. • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives on any finishes.
