Problem
The blades do not rotate smoothly.
The product shakes.
The blade adjustment system is de-
fective.
Transportation
WARNING: Be careful during transportation.
The product is heavy and can cause injury if
it falls.
•
Fold the handle. Refer to
transport position on page 21 .
•
If an optional floating disc is installed, remove it
before transportation.
•
When you use a vehicle for transportation of the
product, make sure that the product is sufficiently
attached and cannot move. Attach 1 tie-down strap
to the operation handle and the vehicle. Attach 1 tie-
down strap to the support frame for maintenance
position and the vehicle.

Cause
The engine is cold.
The engine speed is too low when
the clutch control is engaged.
For BG 245 and BG 375: a floating
disc is used and the concrete is too
fresh.
The engine is defective.
The gearbox is defective.
1 or more of the blades are bent or
defective.
1 or more of the blades do not move
correctly in the hub.
The pressure plate is bent or defec-
tive.
The clutch wire is broken.
1 or more of the blades do not move
correctly in the hub.
The pressure plate does not move
vertically.
The blade adjustment control on the
handlebar is defective.
Transportation, storage and disposal
To set the product in
Solution
Let the engine operate at idle speed
for 2–3 minutes before you operate
the product.
Increase the engine speed to full
throttle before you engage the clutch
control.
Let the concrete dry some more be-
fore you operate the product.
Refer to the engine manual.
Repair or replace the gearbox.
Replace damaged blades.
Remove the blades. Clean and lubri-
cate all contact surfaces.
Replace the pressure plate.
Replace the clutch wire.
Remove the blades. Clean and lubri-
cate all contact surfaces.
Disassemble the blade assembly.
Clean and lubricate all contact surfa-
ces.
Examine all parts of the blade adjust-
ment control for damage and replace
if it is necessary.

Do not put the product on its side during
transportation. The bottom side of the product must
always be down.
