Centrifugal clutch
Remove the circlip (E) and push out the
AV element by prizing is out with a screw-
driver.
Dismantle the circlip from the shaft pin on
the clutch drum.
Push the clutch drum away from the ball
bearing.
Remove the circlip and dismantle the ball
bearing.
Check the internal diameter of the clutch
drum. If this is greater than Ø 78.5 mm it
should be replaced.
4. Remove the circlip (E).
6. Use a screwdriver and carefully prize
out the AV element (F) together with
the shaft mounting (G).
7. Remove the other AV element in the
bottom of the clutch housing.
8. Remove the circlip which sits around
the clutch shaft with appropriate circlip
pliers.
9. Push the clutch drum away from the
ball bearing.
NOTE!
The pass between the ball bearing
and the clutch drum might still be
very stiff. If that is the case then
warm the entire clutch housing (to
approx. 140°C) using a hot air gun.
10. Remove the circlip holding the ball
bearing in the clutch housing.
11. Use a hot air gun to warm the clutch
housing to approx. 110°C and disman-
tle the ball bearing using a suitable
mandrel.
Check the clutch drum for wear.
The diameter must not exceed 78,5 mm.
If this is the case replace the clutch drum.
