6.4 Linkage

eSpace 8850 can be linked with the eSpace Desktop so that you can answer, make, and end calls
for the eSpace 8850 using the eSpace Desktop.

Viewing the details
Tap the contact. The Details screen is displayed.
Adding the Contact
1. Tap the contact. The Details screen is displayed.
2. Tap Add Contact. The Add Contact screen is displayed.
3. Tap OK.
NOTE
On the Add Contact screen, you can edit contact information and tap OK to confirm your settings. The
contact profile picture cannot be changed but can be manually updated. The contact profile picture to
update must be a customized profile picture, not a system profile picture. For detailed operations, see

Making a call
Tap next to the contact that you want to call.
– Select a number and make a call.
– Tap next to a number to edit the number and make a call.
NOTE
On the Details screen, you can tap a contact number to directly make a call, or tap
a contact number, edit the number, and make a call.
– Tap next to a number to make a video call.
NOTE
The system automatically changes the number of a contact in the corporate directory as follows when you
are making a call to that contact:
l If the number of a contact starts with (xx), where xx is a country code or region code, the system
automatically removes ( ). For example, if the number of a contact is (86)1234567, the system will
change the number to 861234567.
l If the number of a contact starts with (0), the system automatically removes (0). For example, if the
number of a contact is (0)1234567, the system will change the number to 1234567.
l If the number starts with +, the system automatically changes + to 0011. For example, if the number
of a contact is +861234567, the system will change the number to 0011861234567.
NOTE
l To use the linkage function, ensure that your account has been assigned the linkage right. If you have
any questions, contact the system administrator.
l The operations, such as making, answering, and ending a call, performed on the eSpace Desktop are
actually implemented on eSpace 8850. The eSpace Desktop alone cannot make calls in the linkage
scenario.
