Installing Cables Between Battery Packs and a 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS Parallel System
NOTE
1. When the positive and negative battery strings of a 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS parallel system with
long backup time consist of one battery pack respectively, the charge current needs to be
set to 2 A or less.
2. The number of batteries in the positive battery string and that in the negative battery string
connected to a UPS should be the same.
1. When battery packs are not shared in a 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS parallel system, the cable
connection method between each UPS and battery packs are the same as that for a single 15
kVA/20 kVA UPS. The positive and negative battery strings can respectively connect to a
maximum of 13 battery packs.
2. When battery packs are shared in a 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS parallel system, the positive and
negative battery strings can respectively connect to a maximum of four battery packs. The
following figure shows cable connections when the positive and negative battery strings consist
of four battery packs respectively.
