Displaying Help for the Show Port SFP Command
The show port sfp help command provides definitions for the fields displayed in the show port
sfp command output.

Identifier - Type of serial transceiver.
Ext. Identifier - Extended identifier of type of serial Transceiver.
Connector - Code for connector type.
Transceiver - Code for electronic compatibility or optical Compatibility.
Encoding - Code for serial encoding algorithm.
Nominal bit rate, units of 100 MBits/sec.
Not Available/Reserved. Set to 0.
Length(9mm)/km - Link length supported for 9/125 mm fiber, units of km.
Length (9mm) - Link length supported for 9/125 mm fiber, units of 100 m.
Length (50mm) - Link length supported for 50/125 mm fiber, units of 10 m.
Length (62.5mm) - Link length supported for 62.5/125 mm fiber, units of 10 m.
Length (Copper) - Link length supported for copper, units of meters
Vendor name - SFP transceiver vendor name (ASCII).
Vendor OUI - SFP transceiver vendor IEEE company ID.
Part number provided by SFP transceiver vendor (ASCII).
Revision level for part number provided by vendor (ASCII).
Wavelength - Laser wavelength.
CC_BASE - Check code for Base ID Fields (addresses 0 to 62). A "|" symbol is placed
next to "CB" to indicate the end of the Base ID Fields.
Description
Options - Indicates which optional transceiver signals are implemented.
Maximum bit rate - Upper bit rate margin, units of %.
Minimum bit rate - Lower bit rate margin, units of %.
Vendor Serial No. - Serial number provided by vendor (ASCII).
Date code Vendor's manufacturing date code.
Diagnostic Monitoring Type - Indicates which type of diagnostic monitoring is
implemented (if any) in the transceiver.
Enhanced Options - Indicates which optional enhanced features are implemented (if
any) in the transceiver.
Indicates which revision of SFF-8472 the transceiver complies with.
CC_EXT - Check code for the Extended ID Fields (addresses 64 to 94). A "|" symbol
is placed next to "CE" to indicate the end of the Extended ID Fields.
Vendor Specific - Vendor Specific EEPROM data.
Reserved - Reserved for SFF-8079.
