    FITTING THE HANDLEBAR The handlebar must be straight. Align this with the fork by Insert the handlebar into the head tube. Make sure the minimum insertion mark is not visible looking downwards at it. Use the allen key to tighten the bolt once this is tted.

    FITTING THE SADDLE Using the allen key provided, lock the seat in position Insert saddle into frame. Make sure the minumum insertion mark is not visible once this is tted.   • Page 8 To t the quick release mechanism on the front wheel you will need to join the parts as shown below. The skewer goes through the axle on front wheel, and the adjusting nut needs attaching loosely by turning clockwise, ensuring the springs are positioned either side of the axle as shown.
  • Page 9 Once the wheel is in place and tight, turn the bike the right way up. Squeeze the brakes together until there is a 1mm gap betwen the brake pads and the rim. Both sides should be equal. Whilst holding in place you then need to pull the brake cable tight, and tighten the brake cable pinch bolt by turning clockwise using the spanner provided as shown.

    FITTING THE PEDALS To fit the pedals correctly, you must position them the correct way around and screw them on in the right direction: Stickers indicate the left and right pedal. If these have dropped off, look at the end of the thread where it is imprinted. The correct pedal needs to be attached to the matching side of the bike i.e.

    FITTING THE REFLECTORS & BELL First fully release the securing screws as shown Wrap the bell around the handlebar as shown, remembering (anti-clockwise) to put it in a place where you can reach it easily whilst riding. Then wrap the white reflector around the handlebar near the centre, and wrap the red reflector in the same way around the saddle post.

    FINAL CHECKS You can now ensure your saddle and handlebars are at a comfortable riding position, and fully tighten. Always be aware of the minimum insertion mark and make sure these are inserted beyond this point. Check tyre pressures regularly. Recommended tyre pressures are clearly marked on the side of the tyre. Check that all bolts and xings are tight and secure.
