The MotoMaster Eliminator battery charger may show a reverse polarity light and not charge the battery despite correct cable connections due to one of the following reasons:

1. Battery Terminal Corrosion or Damage – Corrosion or damage on the battery terminals can interfere with proper electrical contact. Cleaning the terminals with a wire brush may help.
2. Internal Battery Issues – A severely discharged or faulty battery may not allow the charger to detect proper polarity. In this case, testing the battery with a multimeter or consulting a professional is recommended.
3. Charger Malfunction – If the charger itself is faulty, it may incorrectly detect polarity. Checking for any error indicators and referring to the troubleshooting guide can help.

If the issue persists, consulting a professional or referring to the charger’s manual for further troubleshooting is advised.

The Motomaster Eliminator Ultra battery uses AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology. Therefore, the correct battery type button to use would be AGM.

We have a moto master Eliminator which we purchased in 2012. We have not kept it up to charge for the past 12 years. We would like to use the unit now but can’t seem to charge it up. Is there any hope for this charger?
