Proper cleaning, maintenance and the use of clean, dry, quality fuel will prevent common operational problems. When your grill
is operating poorly, or on a less frequent basis, the following troubleshooting tips may be helpful.
WARNING: Always disconnect the electrical cord prior to opening the grill for any inspection, cleaning,
maintenance or service work. Ensure the grill is completely cooled to avoid injury.

SOLUTION
Press the Power Button. Try another attempt and hold for two seconds to verify connection.
Ensure unit is plugged into a working power source. Reset breaker. Ensure GFCI is a minimum
10 Amp service (see Electric Wire Diagram for access to electric components) Ensure all wire
connections are firmly connected and dry.
Remove hopper access panel (see Electric Wire Diagram for diagram) and check the fuse for
a broken wire or if the wire has turned black. If yes, fuse needs to be manually replaced.
Remove hopper access panel (see Electric Wire Diagram for diagram), and ensure all wire
connections are firmly connected and dry. Ensure GFCI is a minimum 10 Amp service.
Digital Control Center needs to be replaced. Contact Customer Service for replacement part.
Before the unit is used for the first time or anytime the hopper is completely emptied out,
the auger must be primed to allow pellets to fill the auger tube. If not primed, the igniter
will timeout before the pellets reach the fire pot. Follow Hopper Priming Procedure .
Inspect the auger tube first by removing the cooking components from the grill barrel.
Visually inspect the auger feed system with the unit powered on. Follow steps 1-5 of
Hopper Priming Procedure . If no damage or pellet jam is visible, inspect the auger motor
through the hopper access panel. Ensure the auger motor bracket is not damaged. If not
operating properly, call Customer Service for a replacement part.
Remove cooking components from the main barrel. Press the Power Button to turn the unit
on and inspect the igniter. Visually confirm that the igniter is working by placing your hand
above the burn pot and feeling for heat. If not operating properly, follow Manual Start-up
Procedure to continue use of grill; however, call Customer Service for assistance or a
replacement part.
Press the Power Button to turn the unit off, and allow grill to cool. Follow Care and
Maintenance instructions. After maintenance, remove pellets, and confirm positioning of
all component parts. Once cooled, press the Power Button to turn the unit on, then select
desired temperature. If error code still displayed, contact Customer Service.
Check for damage to the grill probe. Follow Care and Maintenance instructions if dirty.
If all appears in working order from the inside of the grill barrel. Unplug unit from power
source and remove the hopper access panel (see Electric Wire Diagram for diagram). Locate
the black wires of the temperature probe. Disconnect the spade connectors, then reconnect
until it clicks. Replace the hopper access panel.
Remove hopper access panel (see Electric Wire Diagram for diagram), and check for any
damage. Ensure probe wire connections are firmly connected, and connected correctly to the
digital control board.
Power source was interrupted, and the grill did not complete its cool-down cycle. Check
power supply; there may have been a power outage during use. Press the Power Button to
turn the unit off, wait two minutes, then press the Power Button to turn the unit on again.
If error code still displayed, contact Customer Service.

Questions and answers
How do you keep the grill at 100 degrees while achieving maximum smoke. We are trying to smoke fish
To maintain 100°F on a Cabela's PRO Series grill while maximizing smoke for smoking fish, follow these steps:
1. Use High-Quality Pellets: Choose pellets that produce more smoke, such as Cabela's brand, as they may provide better smoke quality and quantity.
2. Set a Low Temperature: Adjust the grill to the lowest possible setting, ideally around 100°F, to maximize smoke production.
3. Control Airflow: Keep the vents slightly open to allow smoke to circulate while maintaining a low temperature.
4. Extend Smoking Time: Since fish requires lower temperatures, smoke it slowly for a longer period to infuse more flavor.
5. Monitor Temperature: Use a reliable thermometer to ensure the grill maintains a steady 100°F.
6. Use Water Pan (Optional): Placing a water pan inside the grill can help regulate temperature and maintain moisture.
By following these steps, you can maintain 100°F while achieving maximum smoke for fish smoking.
