WIRING

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical
shock, or personal injury, wire connectors provided with
this fan are designed to accept only one 12-gauge house
wire and two lead wires from the fan. If your house wire
is larger than 12-gauge or there is more than one house
wire to connect to the corresponding fan lead wires,
consult an electrician for the proper size wire connectors
to use.
CAUTION: Be sure outlet box is properly grounded and
that a ground (green or bare) wire is present.
WARNING: The wires from the outlet box must be
connected to a corresponding color of the fan's wires. Be
sure wire colors match before making connections. If
house wires are different colors than referred to in the
following steps, stop immediately. A professional
electrician is recommended to determine wiring.
WARNING: Using a full range dimmer switch (not
included) to control fan speed will cause a loud humming
noise from fan. To reduce the risk of fire or electrical
shock, do NOT use a full range dimmer switch to control
fan speed.
1.
IMPORTANT: For each wire connection below,
use one of the wire connectors (CC) provided,
making sure to screw wire connector (CC) on in a
clockwise direction.
Connect BLACK wire from fan to BLACK wire
from ceiling. Connect WHITE wire from fan to
WHITE wire from ceiling. Connect all GROUND
(GREEN) wires together from fan (on motor
assembly (C) and mounting plate (A)) to
BARE/GREEN wire from ceiling.
NOTE: Black wire is hot power for fan. White
wire is common for fan and light kit. Green or
bare wire is ground.

Press and hold the light button on the remote control for more than 0.7 seconds. This will activate the dimmer function, and the light brightness will cycle over 8 seconds. Release the button when the desired brightness is reached. The light will remember the last brightness setting when turned off and on again.

The light on the Harbor Breeze Mazon MZ44BNK3LR ceiling fan may have gone out due to one of the following reasons:

1. Wires in the outlet box are not wired properly – Check the wiring in the outlet box and re-wire if necessary according to the instructions.
2. Wall switch to the light is off – Ensure the wall switch controlling the light is turned on.
3. Wires in the fitter plate are not wired correctly – Verify that the Molex connections in the fitter plate are properly connected according to the instructions.
4. Faulty wire connection – Turn off the power, loosen the motor assembly, and check all connections.
5. Wires in the light kit fitter are not wired correctly – Ensure the male and female plugs in the fitter plate are properly connected according to the instructions.

Checking and correcting these issues should restore the light function.

We have three fans in adjacent rooms and when we installed the Mazon, the remote took over the fans in the adjacent rooms. None of the fans are wired to a switch, so how do we keep the remote from working all three fans?
