en - Installation and connection
If the mains supply cannot be permanently disconnected, the isolation device (including
plug and socket) must be safeguarded against being switched on either unintentionally or
without authorisation.
Tip: We recommend connecting the tumble dryer to the power supply via a plug and
socket so that it is easier to conduct electrical safety checks (e.g. during maintenance or
repair work).
The tumble dryer must not be connected to devices such as timers which would switch
it off automatically.
If it is necessary to install a residual current device (RCD) in accordance with the local
regulations, a residual current device type A can be used.

Air intake vent

During tumble dryer operation, the installation site must constantly be supplied with suffi-
cient cool, fresh air. If the ambient temperature frequently exceeds 45 °C, the cooling cir-
cuit in the heat-pump must be connected to external air intake and outlet vent ducting to
ensure that heat-pump functionality is not impaired.
Air is supplied via the air intake vent on the rear of the heat-pump dryer. This vent must
always be kept clear and must not be covered.
During operation, fluff can be drawn in through the air intake vent.
Fluff sucked into the dryer will settle on the heat exchangers and impair the efficiency of
the heat-pump.
Keep the area (in particular the air intake to the heat-pump) as clear of fluff as possible.
Clean the heat exchangers regularly.
