Troubleshooting
Checks

Is the TV volume set properly?
If not, adjust the volume. Do not select "mute" on the
TV.
If the problem persists, bCheck

Is the channel position or input selector on the TV
set correctly?
If not, set it to the correct position.
If the problem persists, bCheck

Is the unit correctly and firmly connected to a TV or
a VCR with the cable?
If not, connect it correctly and firmly .
If the problem persists, bCheck

Is the AC Power Cord connected to the unit and the
wall outlet?
Connect the AC Power Cord firmly to a wall outlet and
to the unit.
If the problem persists, bCheck

Is the power of the unit and the TV turned on?
If not, turn on the unit and the TV.

Is a disc inserted in the unit?
If not, insert a disc.

Is the inserted disc a CD-ROM with both the
"PlayStation" logo and
audio CD disc?
Insert a CD-ROM disc with both the "PlayStation" logo
and designation or an audio CD disc.
If the problem persists,

Is the disc cover firmly closed?
If not, close it firmly.

Is the disc placed with the label side up?
If not, place the disc with the label side up.
