MAINTENANCE

REPLACING RETENTION (CHIN STRAP)

REMOVE THE EXISTING RETENTION
If your helmet has the Team Wendy pad kit or the Adjustable pad kit, remove the four pads (shown
below) to reach the interior attaching hardware, noting the position of the pads.
If your helmet has the 360° Liner kit, remove the liner following the instructions on Page 18. (see
Step 1 of LINER WITH PADS) to reach the attaching hardware.
Remove the four screws and T-nuts attaching the retention assembly (and the rails, if installed) to
the helmet.
NOTE: This procedure applies to both the X-Nape and X-Nape retention.

INSTALL THE REPLACEMENT RETENTION
Install the replacement retention assembly (and the rails, if applicable) with the four screws and T-nuts.
If your helmet has the Team Wendy pad kit or the Adjustable pad kit, reinstall the front and rear
pads in the positions from which they were removed.
If your helmet has the 360° Liner, reinstall the liner following the instructions on Page 18 (see Step 2
of LINER WITH PADS).
Don the helmet, and check the fit in accordance with Page 8 through Page 12 as applicable.
Make any necessary adjustments.
