The laser diode module reflects off of the combiner mirror and at the same time, allows the laser beam to pass through it, sending both into mirror #2. This mirror is angled so that the beam and the diode module can travel along the bridge and contact mirror #3.

Xenetech Duo 1218 Installation & Table Manual Once again, look at the two marks on the paper. If both marks are in the exact same spot, then the beam between mirror #2 and mirror #3 is parallel and you can move on to step 14. If your marks are NOT hitting the exact same spot, then you need to adjust the beam so that it is parallel.

ALIGNING THE BEAM BETWEEN MIRROR#2 AND MIRROR #3 If we take a position check, the bridge should be at the front of the system and the lens carriage is at the right side of the machine. There should also be two marks on the masking tape that was placed over the lens carriage. To make the beam parallel to the motion system, both marks that we make must hit the exact same spot.
