6.1 Settings for TONOPORT V Update Program V3.0

Firmware Loading
Procedure
The firmware will be loaded via the RS232 or USB interface of a PC under control
of the TONOPORT V update program. The update program detects the connected
TONOPORT V version and loads the corresponding firmware for
TONOPORT V, HW2.1:
NOTE
If the update program detects an older TONOPORT V version, it loads for
TONOPORT V, HW2.0:
and for
TONOPORT V, HW1.4 and earlier:
NOTE
If you intend to load the firmware via the USB interface, ensure that the correct
USB driver is installed on the PC. The USB driver is located on the USB driver
CD (GE item number: 2001589-093), which is part of the TONOPORT V
system. For installation please refer the TONOPORT V Operator Manual.
REQUIRED TOOLS
PC with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 (64 bit)



Cable USB TONOPORT V - PC or

Cable RS232 TONOPORT V - PC

Extract the TONOPORT V Update Program to one directory (e.g.

C:\Tonoport\loading) by starting: TONOPORT_V_Update_FW21.ZIP.
The firmware is available from the GE Infocenter or from GE Level 3 Support.
Start TONOPORT V Update Program by TONOPORT_V_Update_V30.EXE.

Click the "Setup" button and select the interface that you intend to use. If you

decide to use SERIAL, select the corresponding COM port.
