From the home
screen, touch
Messaging.

Touch the
Compose icon.

Touch the Enter message box. Using the
keyboard, type the desired message.
While composing the message, touch the Menu
key for these options:
• Insert smiley: Add a text emoticon.
• Add text: Add an S Memo
Location, Contact, or Text template.
• Add slide: Create a slideshow within the
message body. If you choose to add a slide,
additional slide editing options will appear in the
Menu. (This option converts the message to an
MMS.)
• Add subject: Add a subject to the message.
(This option converts the message to an MMS.)
• Scheduled message: Set the message to be sent
at a certain time.
• Discard: Discard message and its contents.
• Translate: Translate the message to another
language.

Using the
keyboard, enter
the recipient's
name or phone
number. The
phone will
offer suggestions
based on the
letters or numbers
you type.
