On Board Diagnostic (OBD II)
System
Diagnostic connector is located on RH
side below the steering wheel.
On board Diagnostics or OBD, is an auto-
motive term referring to a vehicle's self-
diagnostic and reporting capability. The
OBD system allows continuous diagno-
sis of the components of the vehicle cor-
related with emissions. This system
warns the driver, by turning "ON" the
Malfunction Indication lamp (MIL) on the
180
instrument cluster, when a fault causes
emission levels to increase.
The OBD system also has a diagnostic
connector that can be interfaced with
appropriate diagnostic tools, which
makes it possible to read the fault codes
stored in the Electronic Control Unit, to-
gether with a series of specific parame-
ters for Engine operation and Diagnosis.
This check can also be carried out by the
traffic police.
Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)
warning Indicator
Your vehicle is equipped with a Diesel
Particulate Filter (DPF). DPF is a me-
chanical filter that physically traps par-
ticulate matter from diesel engine ex-
haust gas.
DPF traps the particulate matter in the
following way:
– Particulates / soot are
Filtration
collected in the inlet channel of the
filter.
– When the filter
Regeneration
channels are filled up with soot, they
are cleaned automatically by the en-
gine management system. This pro-
cess is known as DPF Regeneration
and this will happen during normal
running of the vehicle.
DPF equipped in vehicle normally regen-
erates automatically which is controlled
by engine management system.

I need to install Dashcam with hardwiring. Hard to trust to offline mechanics with limited knowledge. I found the ACC fuse from fuse diagram but not able to figure out the VCC fuse (which runs even without IGN). It's not clearly mentioned in manual and fuse diagram. Is there any way to figure this out.

The document does not provide specific details about a VCC fuse for hardwiring a dashcam in the TATA Motors Harrier XE. However, you can identify a suitable fuse by checking the fuse box inside the engine compartment or under the dashboard. Look for a fuse labeled "INTERIOR F/B BAT - I" (60A) or "EMS IGN" (5A), as these may provide constant or ignition-based power. Always verify with a multimeter and refer to the fuse box sticker for confirmation.
