The lights on the vacuum keep fluctuating from the vacuum head to the handle, as if I've detached the wand. It still works (I think) but the suction is not great and it seems to be getting worse. The rollers still move, it isn't blocked, not sure what I need to do to get it fixed.

Fluctuating lights between the vacuum head and handle on a Shark AZ1000 Series vacuum could be caused by poor electrical contact inside the wand connection. The spring-loaded connectors inside the wand might not be making proper contact with the pins in the main body.
To resolve this, unplug the vacuum, detach the wand by pressing the release button, and inspect the three holes inside the wand connection. Clean them using a small brush to remove any dust or debris. Applying an electrical-grade silicone spray that is plastic-safe can help lubricate the connectors and improve contact.
For suction issues, check for blockages in the hose, wand, or nozzle. Ensure the brushroll is free of obstructions and that the surface selector is set correctly for the type of flooring. If the motorized floor nozzle overheats (flashing red light), turn off the vacuum, unplug it, remove any blockages, and allow it to cool for at least 60 minutes before restarting.

The roller on the Shark AZ1000 Series vacuum may not be spinning after replacing the hose and floor piece due to poor connection at the spring-loaded connectors inside the wand release. To fix this, unplug the vacuum, press the wand release at the base, and clean the three female spring-loaded connectors inside the holes using a small brush. Applying an electrical-grade plastic-safe silicone spray can help lubricate the connectors for better contact. If the issue persists, check for a broken belt or other mechanical problems.
