I/O board Settings with the switch block Write protection for floppy disks - switch 6 Switch 6 is used to define whether floppy disks can be written or deleted in the floppy disk drive. To write and delete floppy disks, the write -protection in BIOS setup must be disabled (in menu Security, the field Diskette Write must be set to Enabled).
I/O board Add-on modules Memory extension for i960 The I/O board is equipped with two installation banks (even and odd) for memory modules. Both memory banks can be equipped with single-sided or double-sided memory modules. Equipping must begin with the even installation bank. The board supports a maximum of 16 Mbytes.

Add-on modules I/O board Replacing the lithium battery Incorrect replacement of the lithium battery may lead to a risk of explosion. The lithium battery must be replaced with an identical battery or a battery type recommended by the manufacturer (CR2032). Do not throw lithium batteries into the trashcan.
Processor board Add-on modules Processor board The CPU modules and the memory boards are plugged onto the processor board. LED 8 LED 1 1 = Power supply 6 = Indicators (LED) 2 = Voltage regulator 7 = CPU 3 3 = Memory board 1 8 = CPU 2 4 = Memory board 0 9 = CPU 1...
Add-on modules Memory boards Memory boards The memory board is equipped with 16 slots for memory modules. The organization in four memory banks A to D enables fast memory access with four-fold interleave. The maximum memory configuration is 4 Gbytes per memory board. Four identical memory modules must be installed per memory bank.

STM-SE SAF-TE/Terminator board SAF-TE/Terminator board The SAF-TE/terminator board (STM) is installed on the plug SCSI output and OLR controller on the SCSI board (piggy back). The SAF-TE/terminator board terminates the SCSI bus and runs the SAF-TE protocol including OLR. The SAF-TE/terminator board is available in a single-ended (SE) and in a low-voltage differential (LVD) version.
