Connecting the AC Adapter and Telephone Line Cord

Raise the base antenna to ensure clear communication with the cordless
phone.

Connect the AC adapter to the AC Adapter socket on the base, and then
plug it into a 120-V, 60-Hz outlet.

Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the Tel Line jack on the
base, and the other end to a standard (RJ11C) wall telephone jack.
Gateway setup
To use the cordless phone to make digital phone calls, your gateway must be
properly connected and the power turned on. In addition, your gateway
settings must be configured for use with the cordless phone. For details, see
the gateway instruction sheet that accompanied the cordless phone.
