Before using for the first time
Before using the steam ironing
system for the first time, remove all
packaging (e.g. the protective film
from the tower).
Determining water hardness
In order for the steam ironing system to
function properly and to display a
message prompting you to descale it at
the correct time, it is important to adjust
the steam ironing system to the
hardness of your local water supply.
The water hardness level indicates
how much calcium is dissolved in the
water. The higher the calcium content,
the harder the water, and the harder
the water, the more often the steam
ironing system will need to be
descaled.
Your local water supplier can inform you
of the water hardness level in your area.
This information can also be found
online on the website of the relevant
utility company.
As an alternative, you can also
determine the approximate water
hardness by using the test strips
supplied.

Using the test strips
Dip the test strip in the water for
approx. 1 second.
Remove the test strip from the water
and shake the water off the test strip.
After approx. 1 minute, and based on
the colouration, you will be able to read
the water hardness from the table
below:

Tip: It is useful to know your water
hardness so that you can provide the
service technician with this information
in the event of any service calls. Please
note your water hardness level here:
