1 INTRODUCTION

The LOTUS 1325 is a 3 point linkage tedder with an effective
working width of 13,25 m. A capacity up to approx. 18 ha/h
can be achieved thanks to the massive working width and
high forward speed at which the machine can be operated (up
to 15 km/h).
The LOTUS 1325 tedder comprises of 3 groups of 4 rotors
(fig. 1). Six tine arms with double springsteel tines are fitted
to each rotor. The special tine shape ensures that the crop is
taken up and spread with a minimum amount of material loss.
The rotors pivot in respect of one another allowing the
LOTUS tedder to easily follow field undulations.
Following irregular ground contours is also facilitated by the
fact that the wheels are positioned close to the tines.
The machine is adjusted to the transport position quickly and
simply by means of a hydraulic control. Transport on the
tractor's hydraulic lift is easy because the machine's
transport width is only 3,00 m.

2 MOUNTING BEHIND THE TRACTOR

- Mount the drawbar to the machine in such a position that
!
the horizontal distance of its point of rotation in respect of
the drive shaft is approximately equal to the distance of the
catch hooks of the tractor in respect of the tractor PTO (fig.
2).
- Adjust the tractor's three point hitch lower arms at equal
height.
- Fit the lower arms to the linkage pins of the bar.
- Lift the drawbar slightly so that the parking jack is just
clear of the ground. Maintain this height adjustment of the
tractor lift during operations and transport.
- Place the parking jack in the raised position.
- Secure the tractor's lower arms by means of stabilisation
chains or rods eliminating any sideways movements.
- Check if the PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.
- Mount the PTO shaft to the tractor PTO.
At first assembly, or use of another tractor: check the
!
minimum and maximum overlap of the shaft halves
(Consult the instruction supplied with the PTO shaft.)
