General Description

Chapter 1
This chapter describes the HP E1328A 4-Channel D/A Converter module,
and contains information on how to program it using SCPI (Standard
Commands for Programmable Instruments) commands. This chapter
contains the following sections:

The HP E1328A 4-Channel D/A Converter provides four independent,
16-bit isolated digital-to-analog channels configurable for either DC voltage
or DC current output. Figure 1-1 shows a block diagram for one of the four
HP E1328A channels. All four channels have the same block diagram.

Each of the four channels can be programmed to output voltage or current in
one of the two operating modes.
Calibrated mode: output voltage range is ±10.922 Vdc and
output current range is ±21.84 mAdc.
Non-calibrated mode: output range is typically ±12 Vdc
and ±24 mAdc.
