Installing the base cover

1 Align the base cover with the screw holders on the laptop .
2 Press the edges of the cover until it clicks into place.
3 Tighten the M2x5 screws to secure the base cover to the laptop.
4 Follow the procedure in

Removing the battery

1 Follow the procedure in
2 Remove the base cover.
3 To remove the battery:
a Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board [1].
b Loosen the M2.5x5 captive screw (1) that secure the battery to the laptop [2].
NOTE:
• Touch - A 68 Whr battery has only 1 screw.
• Non-Touch - A 51 Whr battery has only 1 screw.
c Lift the battery away from the laptop chassis [3].
NOTE: Touch system is shipped with 51 Whr battery and Non-Touch system is shipped with 68 Whr.
