What is a Pulse Oximeter?
A pulse oximeter is a non-invasive device that
indirectly monitors blood oxygen saturation (SpO
)
2
and pulse rate (heart rate). It displays both blood
oxygen saturation (SpO
) and pulse rate (heart
2
rate). Pulse oximeters provide an easy way of
assessing your blood oxygen level and pulse rate.
What is SpO 2 ?
SpO
is also known as oxygen saturation. Oxygen
2
saturation is a measure of how much oxygen the
blood is carrying as a percentage of the maximum
it could carry.
What is the normal range of SpO 2 ?
The normal range for SpO
is typically considered
2
from 95%~99%. The SpO
measurement may be
2
lower for people who live at high altitudes. Ask
your health professional this question as it pertains
to you.
What is the normal range for pulse rate?
The normal resting range for pulse rate is typically
considered from 60~100 beats per minute. Ask
your health professional this question as it pertains
to you.
What kind of conditions may cause an
inaccurate reading?
Cold hands, poor circulation, very weak pulse,
movement, fingernail polish and acrylic nails may
cause inaccurate results.
The SpO
is not changing – it's stuck?
2
SpO
does not change like pulse rate. It is slow to
2
change.
The pulse rate is changing rapidly.
Your heart rate changes with emotions, excitement
and exercise.
I do not see the battery light indicator.
The battery light indicator only appears when the
battery is low.

My C20 Flashes a Battery then ? and will not give me a reading. I have replaced the batteries and verified they are installed correctly. Can I reset the device to clear the problem?

The manual does not provide specific instructions for resetting the ChoiceMMed OxyWatch C20. However, you can try the following steps to resolve the battery flashing issue and obtain readings:

1. Check and Replace Batteries: Ensure the batteries are properly installed according to the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. Replace them with fresh batteries if necessary.

2. Power Cycle the Device: Remove the batteries, wait a few minutes, then reinsert them and turn the device back on.

3. Ensure Proper Finger Placement: Place your finger correctly in the oximeter and keep it still for accurate readings.

4. Adjust Display Brightness: If the screen is too dim, adjust the brightness level.

If the issue persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
