When you are tuned into a FM stereo broadcast, "ST" will be displayed and you can hear
stereo effects.
If a FM stereo broadcast is hard to receive or noisy, you can select MONO by pressing the
AUDIO button on the remote control and the "ST" will not display. Reception will be
improved, but you will lose any stereo effect.
