are described in this user guide. Performing maintenance procedures not described in the user guide may void

Upgrading SonoSite iViz software and firmware

New versions of the SonoSite iViz software and transducer firmware may be released from time to time.
SonoSite iViz is capable of upgrade using either your wireless network, or a USB device. Your FUJIFILM
SonoSite representative can provide upgrade materials and instructions whenever a new software upgrade is
available. One USB device can be used to upgrade multiple systems.

Because SonoSite iViz does not log or display detailed status information for DICOM
events, the information required to perform this troubleshooting is not available on
the SonoSite iViz system. To further investigate and resolve the issue, your DICOM/
PACS administrator must assist you with gathering the necessary information.
Whenever you upgrade the system software, be sure to update the transducer
firmware at the same time. If the software and firmware versions do not match, the
system will not be able to scan.
Updating transducer firmware is easy:
If a transducer is attached to the system during an upgrade, the transducer
firmware will be updated automatically.
Transducer firmware compatibility is checked whenever a transducer is
connected to the system. If the transducer firmware does not match the
system, you will be offered the opportunity to update it. The firmware update
takes about five minutes.
If you have multiple transducers, we recommend updating all of them as soon
as possible after a system software upgrade.
