Parameters
mac-address: Specifies the MAC address in the format of H-H-H.
Usage guidelines
As a logical interface, a Layer 3 VE interface is created and removed manually, and uses the MAC
address of a physical interface on the device. As a result, all Layer 3 VE interfaces share the same MAC
address. If the Layer 3 VE interfaces connect to a DHCP server through different PVCs, you must use the
mac-address command to specify each interface a MAC address to obtain an IP address. For
information about how a DHCP server statically assigns IP addresses, see Layer 3—IP Services
Configuration Guide.
Examples
# Specify the MAC address of interface Virtual-Ethernet 1 as 0001-0001-0001.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface virtual-ethernet 1

map bridge
Use map bridge to establish the IPoEoA mapping or PPPoEoA mapping on the PVC.
Use undo map bridge to delete the mapping.
Syntax
map bridge virtual-ethernet interface-number
undo map bridge
Default
No mapping is configured.
